WORK > Cathedral Grove - Old Growth, public art

A commission for Greg Sather of McCallumSather Architects in Hamilton, ON. This project initiated my interest in relationships between public space, architecture, art, and the city. Cathedral Grove - Old Growth recalls the archetypical forest as a metaphor for dwelling and relationships between the body and urban space. The work is created from a single vantage point across the street in a busy section of downtown Hamilton, raising questions about perspective, orientation, and the construction of view corridors in the city.
